Glynis Wright & Co – Abseil for Spark Arts Charity.
Family lawyer Glynis Wright, Head of Practice at Glynis Wright & Co and Stephanie Kyriacou, Assistant Solicitor at Glynis Wright & Co took on the challenge of abseiling down a building at De Montfort University, Leicester on 17 November 2015 to raise funds for the wonderful Charity Spark Arts for Children.
Spark Arts is a registered charity which offers children the opportunity to discover and enjoy the arts as audiences, as learners and as creators of their own art.
Glynis said “Neither Stephanie nor I are good with heights and therefore taking on an abseil was a real challenge for both of us. However, Spark Arts are a great Charity and we wanted to do all that we could to raise funds for them. The abseil was scary but exhilarating. There is no better motivation than doing something that is a real challenge knowing that it will benefit others.
Glynis and Stephanie managed to raise over £1,500.00 for Spark Arts and Glynis was particularly thrilled to be notified that she had personally raised more for the Charity than any other participant on the abseil. She said “Glynis Wright & Co try to give back to our community wherever we can and we enjoy supporting local charities. We are also business ambassadors for the Charity Soft Touch Arts and are currently part funding a joint project with Soft Touch around the impact of relationship breakups on children and the need for families to mediate.”
Glynis Wright & Co have already signed up to do the highest High Wire Challenge in Europe to raise money for Spark Arts next year!
